Dear Families,

We are nearing the end of the first quarter and this month there is only one half-day that will affect student attendance.  Our teachers have spent August and September establishing routines and expectations and we are ready to move forward with continuing grade level instruction.  It is important that students come to school each day following ROAR expectations.

Thank you to our parent volunteers who have helped out during lunch time!  Your help is greatly appreciated.  October Cafeteria Volunteers

New Information

House Unity Day
On Tuesday, join us to wear blue as we celebrate our first Cougar of the Month celebration, focusing on our Ready to Learn (Rugido) trait.

One School, One Book: Odder Family Reading Adventure
We are excited to kick off our One School, One Book program with Odder by Katherine Applegate! Throughout the program, students and families will enjoy reading and discussing the same book together, helping to build a strong community of readers across our school.

As part of the fun, each class will have a special reading buddy, a small stuffed Odder! When students take Odder home, we encourage them to include their reading buddy in family adventures. Students can write about their time with Odder, draw a picture, or print a photo to share with their classmates. These memories will help us celebrate our reading journey together!

Teachers will let families know how long Odder may stay with each student before being passed along to the next reader. We can't wait to see all of the wonderful adventures Odder experiences as we read together!

Megablast Fundraiser
We surpassed our goal of $25,000!  Thank you all for your support as money raised in this fundraiser will support student incentives, classroom projects, teacher appreciation, and schoolwide opportunities alongside the PTA.

Prizes for the fundraiser will be delivered in the coming weeks.  Students that earned the game truck and Kona Ice will participate in that on October 23.  The card show will be held on November 5.
